Critical events for the beginning or end of the interest period
Period Breaks are events in the payment structure that mark the start or end of an interest period.
Whether the period break should be the start or end of an interest period is determined by the choice of the Interest Calculation Period.
The length of the interest period is influenced by the selected Payment Period at the position registration. How the period break, and thus the payment, should be handled on non-banking days is determined by the choice of the Day Calculation Method.
Period Break typically corresponds to the due date on a statement.
