How do I make my payments happen on the correct date by adjusting events?
This guide shows how you can change payment dates, period breaks, fixed interest rates and amortizations so that they take place on a different date. This change usually needs to be made when you register a new loan and want to receive the same date in Nordkap as from the bank, so that the calculated payment is correct.
1. Click on Events
2. Click on Adjust events
3. Select the date on which the event should occur for the first time in the loan
4. You can specify which events should occur the first time with this tweak
In my example, I let All event types be moved to my selected date. Most often, period breaks, amortizations and payments take place on the same date. Sometimes fixed interest rates take place on different dates than the other event types.
Look at your avi from the bank to see if the interest rate is adjusted on a different date than when the invoice is due.
5. Click on Adjust events
6. The system has now moved the events
7. Optional: Allow holidays
8. Click on Allow holidays
If the loan is to be paid on the weekend and therefore may always be paid on the 31st regardless of whether it is a weekend or not, you can click Adjust Events, choose to allow holidays and then click Adjust Events again.
The No Adjustment day calculation method that you can choose as a condition on the loan's settings has the same effect as allowing holidays.
